Disaster in Afghanistan

Clearly the soldier that did the shooting of civilians over in Afghanistan is mentally ill. 4 tours of war will do that to you. We all feel for the families of the dead and many of us are angry with the doctors and mental health professionals that deemed this soldier fit-to-fight and back to duty after 4 tours of combat and a TBI-Traumatic Brain Injury.

How did this happen and what are the safeguards in place to protect civilians abroad and on the home front once our soldiers return? Is there a solid plan in place?
Does the United States Armed Services have a process in place for families that may welcome home a troubled soldier, are the regional veterans’ hospitals ready to service those soldiers?

We realize that there seem to be a lot of questions – but together, the active duty military and the veteran community had better come up with something. Let’s chat. Its time to think plan & act.
